Grilled Bone-In NY Strip with Chimichurri & Smashed Grilled Potatoes

Steak Instructions

One 20 oz Mr Steak Bone-In NY Strip (serves 2) 

Season with olive oil, sea salt and cracked pepper then grill on high heat until medium rare to medium , 135-140-degree internal temperature. Allow steak to rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with shoestring fries & chimichurri sauce.

Chimichurri Ingredients:

1 bunch Parsley

1 bunch Cilantro

1 Fresh Jalapeno

8 Green Onions

4 Garlic Cloves

1.5 cups Olive Oil

4 Fresh Limes Juiced

1 tsp Sea Salt

.5 tsp Freshly Cracked Black Pepper

Chimichurri Instructions:

Roughly chop herbs and place in blender. Deseed the fresh jalapeno and place in the blender. Place the olive oil, garlic, diced green onions, lime juice & seasonings in the blender and pulse until everything is minced and you have a bright green sauce.

Grilled Smashed Potatoes Ingredients:

3 lbs. Yukon Gold Potatoes

Sea Salt

Smashed Potato Instructions:

To prepare the grilled smashed potatoes first boil the potatoes in lightly salted water until just tender, strain and allow potatoes to fully cool. After the potatoes have cooled softly smash them with the bottom of a wine glass or potato masher to about 1-inch thick circles. Lightly coat the potatoes with sea salt, olive oil and cracked pepper. Grill the potatoes on both sides turning frequently until crispy. Serve with Chimichurri & steak!
